What happens to my precious metal in storage in the event of death?
When a loved one dies, various things need to be arranged. Please notify us of the death as soon as possible by telephone or e-mail. As soon as a Death Certificate is available, we would like to receive it.
- Did the deceased have a storage account in his or her own name only? Then we will block the account.
- Did the deceased have someone authorized their storage account? In that case, this authorization will expire.
- Did the deceased have a joint storage account? Then it will remain available. Other delegates for this joint account will retain access.
- Did the deceased have a business storage account and/or was the deceased (co-)owner of a business? We would like to know how the company will continue, whether it will stop or be transferred. Together, we look at the next steps for the storage account and the precious metal.
When the heirs decide to divide the estate, we would like to receive the Deed of Partition. Learn more about the division of an inheritance in which precious metals form part of the assets.
Did it work? Let us know!
