Selling precious metals from Belgium in 6 steps

1. Calculate the buyback value of your precious metals
   Use our online valuation tool and visit our pages about selling gold, selling silver and selling platinum and palladium.
2. Lock in the sale price by phone
   Call Holland Gold on +31 88 468 8400, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. We will go through the current market price and the price for your precious metals with you. After your approval, you will receive the binding buyback confirmation by email and the agreed price will remain guaranteed, regardless of later price movements.
3. Choose how to deliver your precious metals
   You choose whether to bring the precious metals to one of our offices in Breda, Rotterdam or Alkmaar yourself, or whether to use our insured collection service. Collection appointments in Belgium are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
4. Account verification and legislation
   As part of our legal obligations around preventing the handling of stolen goods and complying with the Wwft, we verify your proof of identity and bank account number. We may only make the payment after verification. You can provide these details through your online account or during your visit to one of our offices.
5. Professional authenticity check
   Our precious metals specialists check your bars or coins for weight and authenticity using professional measuring equipment.
6. Fast payout
   After a successful check at the office, we pay out no later than one business day after the check has been completed.

The "spot price" of precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium is the current market price at which the metal is traded internationally. This is the price you see on our website.

If you want to sell bullion, there are several methods:

• On spot: They bid exactly the current market price.
• Under mockery: One offers a price lower than the market price.
• Above spot: One bids a price higher than the market price.

Yes, you can choose the day on which your precious metals will be collected. After you have confirmed the price of your precious metals by phone and completed the sale, you can immediately select a day for us to collect your bars or coins. 

Once you have chosen a day, our delivery specialist will collect the precious metals safely, discreetly, and fully insured on business days between 09:00 and 20:00. The evening before, between 17:00 and 21:00, you will receive an email with a two-hour time slot and a 4-digit code. When the driver arrives, the driver will provide you with the 4-digit code and you can hand over the package. From that moment, the package is under constant supervision. Once the package has been scanned, you will receive a confirmation email.

You can sell precious metals from storage in two ways. Precious metals in the precious metals account can be sold directly online via the Holland Gold app or by logging in via the website. Stored bars and coins can be sold by phone on +31 88 468 8400. 

Precious metals account

If you have purchased gold, silver, platinum or palladium per gram through the precious metals account, you can sell this 24/7 via the Holland Gold app or, when logged in via the website, in your account under ‘Buy/Sell precious metals account’.

You can also arrange this with us by phone. After the sale, the money will be transferred to your linked bank account within one working day.

Selling bars and coins from storage

Bars and coins held in storage cannot currently be sold independently online. For this, please contact one of our employees by phone.

The sale takes place in three steps:

1. Calculate the value
   You can easily look up the buyback price of your products on this webpage. Enter the quantities and you will see the total value in the overview.
2. Lock in the price by phone
   Contact one of our employees by phone to go through the sale. The buyback price is then fixed definitively. Any price movements after that will not affect the agreed price.
3. Payout
   The payout will be made to your linked bank account within one working day.

No, as a private individual, you cannot sell jewellery to Holland Gold. This is because Holland Gold is fully specialised in investment precious metals, such as bars and coins, and not in jewellery.
