Yes, the precious metals account is fully physically backed by gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars held in secure storage in Switzerland.
With each purchase, the purchased number of grams of precious metals is added to your precious metals account. These grams are assigned to your account and are your legal property. The precious metals account therefore works with assigned grams of precious metals that are physically backed by larger bars held in storage.
For gold and silver, we use bars from producers with LBMA accreditation. For platinum and palladium, we use bars from producers with LPPM accreditation. The storage is audited annually by an external accountant and is fully insured.
