The costs of buying gold or silver consist of the current precious metal price plus a product premium. This pricing structure also applies to platinum and palladium. The product premium includes, among other things, production, insurance and transport costs, as well as the provider’s margin.
At Holland Gold, we believe in transparent pricing: we do not work with hidden costs that are added afterwards. The price shown in your checkout screen at the moment of confirmation is your guaranteed total price. This includes the fixed costs for your chosen delivery or collection method.
Because of the product premium, one product can be relatively more expensive per gram than another. Larger bars are often more cost-efficient than smaller bars. Coins purchased by Holland Gold can also be interesting, because they do not need to be produced again. To make this clear, we always show the current price per gram alongside the price per coin or bar.
When you invest through the Holland Gold app, the pricing structure is slightly different:
Because precious metal prices move continuously, the price shown to you is held for a maximum of one minute at a time. This way, you always know exactly at which rate you are investing per gram at that moment.
If you choose to have your physical bars or coins safely stored by us, please take into account periodic storage costs in addition to the one-off transport costs. When you use our precious metals account, your precious metals are also stored securely and custody fees are charged for this. All these rates can be found clearly and transparently in our overview of storage and custody costs.
