Can I buy business bullion?

Yes, you can buy precious metals as a business through Holland Gold. Entrepreneurs and investors can invest in gold, silver, platinum and palladium through their private limited company or another business entity.

Buying precious metals as a business can be interesting for preserving capital, diversifying company reserves and building business assets. Precious metals are highly tradable and can generally be converted back into liquid funds relatively quickly when sold.

Business investment in precious metals can also be interesting from a tax perspective. The precious metals are recorded on the company balance sheet and any profit or loss generally only becomes relevant at the time of sale. Silver, platinum and palladium bars, as well as newly issued coins, are subject to 21% VAT. In certain cases, entrepreneurs may be able to reclaim this VAT.

The exact tax and administrative consequences differ per company. Always discuss in advance with your accountant, tax adviser or financial adviser whether buying precious metals as a business suits your situation.
