Does Holland Gold buy bars without LBMA certification?

Yes, Holland Gold buys gold bars and silver bars without LBMA certification. Please contact our customer service team without obligation so we can assess whether we can buy the bar and at what price.

For non-LBMA bars, the buyback price may be lower than for bars from LBMA-accredited refineries. This is because these bars are less liquid and refineries always charge higher costs for analysis, melting or processing when they are further processed.

These additional costs and the lower tradability are reflected in the percentage that we offer above or below the spot price. Holland Gold does not buy gold bars that have been self-melted and were therefore not produced by a refinery.

Which non-LBMA bars does Holland Gold buy?

Examples of non-LBMA producers whose bars Holland Gold may be able to buy in certain cases include:

  • Emeko
  • Tony Goetz
  • Valuetrading
  • Purefine
  • GramAltin
  • Ahlatci

In addition, there are former LBMA-accredited refineries whose bars we generally buy at standard premiums, such as:

  • Schöne
  • Drijfhout

The final buyback price depends on the type of bar, the producer, the weight, the purity, the condition and the current tradability.
