Yes, you must verify your identity when you sell gold, silver, platinum or palladium to Holland Gold. This allows us to comply with legislation against handling stolen goods and with the obligations under the Dutch Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft).

Only after we have verified your proof of identity are we allowed to proceed with the payout of your sale.

Which identity documents are accepted?

For successful verification, you can use the following documents:

• Dutch nationality: valid passport, ID card, driving licence or residence permit.
• Non-Dutch nationality: valid passport or European ID card.

Handling stolen goods means the illegal sale of stolen goods. To protect your investments and those of others, the law requires us to verify your identity with every buyback.

In addition, Wwft stands for the Dutch Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act. Every precious metals dealer in the Netherlands is legally required to strictly follow these guidelines when buying precious metals.
