Hans Hoogervorst: "Politicians don't dare to make difficult decisions for fear of voters"

Current politics in both the US and Europe do not dare to make difficult decisions for fear of the electorate, leading to persistent weak fiscal discipline. Hoogervorst has little faith in the new European budget rules, he expects that little will change as a result. Hoogervorst also elaborates on the importance of support for Ukraine. Finally, there is talk of a report on migration which shows that the net costs of migrations are a huge burden on Dutch public finances.
