Yes, you can have gold and silver in your precious metals account converted into physical coins or bars, which can be delivered to your home or collected from one of our offices.
First check on our website which coin or bar you would like to receive, but do not place an order for it yet. Then contact us by phone, so that we can discuss the delivery and costs with you. Once you agree, we will start the delivery process.
The precious metals in your precious metals account are valued at the current spot price, without the usual transaction fees. We then offset this value against the selling price of the coin or bar you choose.
Physical coins and bars always have a product premium on top of the spot price. This means you may need to pay an additional amount.
The bars and coins to be delivered are often more expensive than precious metals in the precious metals account, due to the higher product premiums that apply to these products. These premiums usually increase as the product becomes smaller.
In the precious metals account, you buy and save precious metals at a favourable rate, because these precious metals are backed by larger bars with relatively lower premiums.
You can pay the difference that arises in two ways: by paying the additional amount or by having extra precious metals from your precious metals account sold.
In this example, we use fictitious amounts. We assume that 50 grams in the precious metals account is delivered in the form of a C.Hafner 50 gram gold bar.

In this example, your 50 grams of gold has a value of €4,800. The C.Hafner gold bar is slightly more expensive due to the product premium and delivery costs. In this example, you therefore pay an additional €142.60.
The exact amount depends on the current spot price, the chosen product and any delivery costs at the time of delivery.
Yes, you can also have extra gold from your precious metals account sold to cover the additional payment. In this example, approximately 1.49 grams of extra gold is needed to cover the costs.
In total, approximately 51.49 grams of gold from the precious metals account will then be used. In return, you receive the 50 gram C.Hafner gold bar, insured and delivered to your home or collected from one of our offices.
Physical delivery of platinum is possible, but the choice is more limited than for gold and silver.
Please contact us by phone so that we can discuss the available products and costs with you.
Physical delivery of palladium is usually not possible in practice, because we do not keep palladium bars in stock and a palladium coin is only rarely available.
