Theo Wolters: energy transition to net-zero by 2050 is a dangerous illusion and destroys our prosperity

On Friday, October 20, 2023, Holland Gold organized an event called "Holland Gold G3 " in Pathé Ede. At this event, the three themes of geopolitics, money and green were discussed. In the green theme, Theo Wolters will give a presentation on the feasibility of the energy transition and the climate objectives.

Theo is an independent researcher and founder of the Environment, Science and Policy Foundation. In his presentation, Theo shows why he believes the energy transition and net zero by 2050 are unrealistic and unaffordable. According to Theo, a realistic energy transition consists of focusing on innovation and allowing market forces to determine the best available energy source. But at the same time, Theo believes that we cannot avoid accepting adaptation to climate change. At the end of the presentation, we will give the unexpected guest Mona Keijzer the opportunity to ask Theo a question.
