Marcel van Silfhout on the Eurofraud: "The Netherlands is totally fooled"

In this episode, Paul Buitink talks to investigative journalist Marcel van Silfhout. In 2005, Marcel, together with colleagues Dirk Bayens and Wouter Laumans, made the ZEMBLA report "Eurobedrog" about the introduction of the euro.

Marcel indicates that the Dutch guilder has been valued far too low compared to the euro fl 2.20371 instead of fl 2 per euro) so that there has been a huge decrease in prosperity. He also talks about what he sees as the dubious role that politicians and multinationals have played in the creation of the euro. Marcel is currently writing his journalistic memoirs with the working title 'Uitgeholt' in which this historical ZEMBLA report plays a prominent role. This is an open source working document to which everyone is free to respond substantively and to supplement or add information if necessary.

Finally, Marcel talks about his new life as a "farmernalist. In Gelderland, under the name Graangeluk, he grows historical regional grains in collaboration and processes them into special beer, regional pasta and regional bread, among other things.
