Hester Bais on the biggest bank fraud ever and Worst Bank Scenario

In this episode, Hester Bais is a guest on Holland Gold Interviews. She is the founder of law firm BAIS Legal and specialises in financial law. She is also co-author of the book "Worst Bank Scenario" which is about the extensive network corruption and the largest bank fraud ever in the Netherlands. In this video, we take a closer look at the book Worst Bank Scenario and Hester tells more about her years of struggle against major banks and regulators. She explains in detail how SMEs and semi-public institutions have been duped by interest rate derivatives. She then tells how she found out that Dutch banks had major liquidity shortages and tried to disguise them through creative accounting.

Hester did not find enough attention from regulators, media and politicians, which is why she decided to write a book about it together with Wink Sabée. She also found out about the questionable role that the EU and ECB played in this story, for example through the Juncker Plan and Quantitative Easing. Finally, we talk about the reforms and solutions that Hester recommends and how she is still doing everything she can to get to the bottom of everything and address the people responsible.
