Paying
Is there a maximum amount for paying with iDEAL or Wero?

Yes, a maximum payment limit of €100,000 applies to payments with iDEAL or Wero. However, almost all banks apply a lower limit.

At most Dutch banks, your limit is set by default between €1,500 and €5,000. You can often increase this limit yourself through online banking or your bank’s app, usually up to €50,000.

These limits can differ per bank. The way in which you can change the limit also differs per bank. Therefore, check with your own bank what your limit is.

How long it takes before the new limit becomes active may also differ per bank. At some banks, this can take around 4 hours.

What if my limit was too low to make the payment?

If your iDEAL or Wero limit was too low to complete the payment, your order will not be completed successfully. You can resolve this in two ways:

  1. You place the order again and choose payment by bank transfer. You will then immediately receive confirmation of the binding order with the invoice by email. The prices and rates are then fixed. You make the payment by transferring the amount to us yourself, stating the order number, within the stated payment term of 48 hours.
  2. You increase your payment limit for iDEAL or Wero with your bank and place a new order once your increased limit is active.

Does Holland Gold send an iDEAL or Wero payment link by email?

No, to help prevent internet fraud, Holland Gold never sends a payment link by email. At Holland Gold, you will only encounter iDEAL or Wero during the payment process in the app or on our website, when you pay for an order.
