20 Francs Switzerland

The Swiss gold 20 Francs coin was minted as an investment coin from 1897 to 1949. It is a world-famous and ever-popular coin, also for the collector. The gold coin has a gross weight of 6.45 grams and is minted with a purity of 90% (21.6 carats) and contains exactly 5.8 grams of fine gold. These coins have been in circulation and may therefore have slight signs of wear. The 20 Francs are delivered in various years, depending on the supply and stock.

On the front of the 20 Francs is a woman "Verana = Vreneli" and on the back is the Swiss flag with oak branches. Its face value is 20 Swiss francs. From 1911-1922 the 10-Francs coin was minted and in 1925 the 100 Franc gold coin was minted.

In the long term, gold retains its value, while currencies lose a lot of purchasing power. An example of the value retention of gold is that 2,000 years ago you could buy a tailor-made suit for one gold coin and that is still the case today.

The gold reserves at central banks act as the backing of a money system. According to DNB, gold is an 'anchor of trust': "If the entire financial system collapses, the gold supply provides collateral to start over."

Gold strengthens the portfolio through its long-term returns and diversification. Its traditional role as a safe haven means that gold is an asset in times of crisis, moving in the opposite direction to the rest of the portfolio.
