Kookaburra 2012 1 kilogram silver coin

The silver Kookaburra 2012 coin is minted in 1 kilo of pure silver. It is a beautiful investment coin that also enjoys collector's value because of the annually renewed design. Since 1992, the Kookaburra has been published by the Perth Mint in Australia. This beautiful silver coin comes in a sturdy plastic capsule, which keeps the coins in good condition.

The 2012 edition of the silver 1 kilo Kookaburra coin was designed by Darryl Bellotti. This unique design depicts a Kookaburra with open mouth, perched on a branch with Eucalyptus leaves.

The obverse of the silver Kookaburra is designed by Ian Rank-Broadley with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In 1992, the Perth Mint introduced the silver Kookaburra investment coin, weighing one ounce, ten ounces and one kilogram (32.15 ounces). Initially, the design of the coins remained the same every year, but now the Kookaburra is issued with a new design every year.
