Lunar 2009 1 kilogram silver coin

The silver coin Lunar 2009, 'Year of the Ox' edition, is made of 1 kilogram of pure silver with a purity of 99.9%. This silver investment coin of Perth Mint is struck with the image of an ox and a calf and the Chinese character for "ox". The kilo coin comes in a matching plastic capsule, which keeps the coin in good condition.

In the Chinese era, 2009 is the year of the Ox. The unique design of the Lunar coin is changed annually accordingly. The Chinese ox has the characteristics of powerful and reliable, a born leader, a hard worker, prefers to choose the shortest path, gentle and patient, but can also be quite outspoken and sometimes stubborn. The Pert Minth has portrayed these qualities in this silver coin. The ox is not the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac.

The Chinese year of the ox is: 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997 and 2009.

We do our utmost to only offer the special editions offered if they are also available. However, we have to make a few caveats here. If it is not available, we will contact you as soon as possible.
