Platinum bar 1 troy ounce LPPM

The 1 troy ounce Platinum Bar is made of 31,1 grams pure platinum with a purity of 999.5/1000. The platinum bars are provided by different LPPM accredited refineries. These are predominantly Swiss made Credit Suisse bars from reputable refineries such as Valcambi. The 1 troy ounce patina bar is taxed with 21% vat.

The L.P.P.M. stands for the London Platinum and Palladium Market trading organisation. Only when a refinery meets the highest standards are platinum ingots approved for international platinum trading, and the refinery is added to the LPPM Good Delivery list. This is the equivalent of the LBMA for the gold and silver market.

Platinum is a rare precious metal. Its annual extraction rate is 6% of gold mining and less than 1% of silver mining. Platinum, like silver, is used in industry, such as in the production of (truck) cars, jewellery and medicine. The value of this rare precious metal depends on the boom in industrial production as well as investor demand for (physical) platinum.
