Ankara - Turkey imported 14,741.67 tonnes of silver in the past month of March. That is an increase of 138.13% from 6190.42 tonnes in the same month last year. The country imported 43,502.69 tonnes of silver in the first three months compared to 18,568.22 tonnes in the same period last year.
Turkey, on the other hand, imported 88.91% less gold according to the latest figures issued by Borsa Istanbul. The country imported 2,025 tonnes of gold in March compared to 18,263.60 tonnes in March 2013. The total import of gold during the months of January and March was 9,301.71 tonnes.
