Frank Knopers on the dangers of stagflation and hyperinflation and the threat of full-scale war in Europe

In our monthly update with Geotrendlines, Sven Kuijpers talks to Frank Knopers.

Gold just keeps hitting new all-time highs. Sven asks Frank where this increase comes from?

Furthermore, Sven asks Frank whether we are heading for stagflation now that inflation is not falling and there seems to be little room for interest rate cuts without damaging the economy. Frank calls this a conceivable scenario. In another scenario, if one does opt for interest rate cuts, we could end up in a debt spiral towards a form of hyperinflation, Frank explains how and why this can occur.

Finally, Frank indicates that we must come to an agreement with Russia and that we should not follow a path of armaments and sending soldiers towards an even bigger European war. In addition, according to him, an escalation is grist to the mill of the US and China.
