Ab Flipse: "Pensions in danger and no more money for the welfare state: Time to wake up!"

Paul Buitink talks to Ab Flipse about Dutch politics and economics, the EU and Germany, which is weakening and weakening.

According to Ab, the Netherlands is "penny wise, pound foolish". Ab claims that our politicians are busy with 'peanuts' while leaving the tens of billions that will go to the green deal, war in Ukraine and the Corona Fund untouched. Ab thinks that we cannot solve major problems such as overregulation in our country in the usual way, but that we have to go through policy with a machete. According to him, we should ignore Brussels and make our own choices. If we don't take the chainsaw like Javier Milei, we won't solve it.

They also discuss the decline of Germany, which is struggling economically and, according to Ab, has lost its way. Germany is shooting itself in the foot with its energy and climate policies and Russian sanctions.

According to Ab, we are currently experiencing one of the most dangerous periods. They discuss the nuclear threat and the situation in Ukraine. Ab thinks we need to de-escalate. In addition, they discuss the importance of being prepared, self-sufficiency and plan B. Ab gives an example of a family that lives autonomously but has not isolated itself from society as a hermit.

Finally, Ab sees that the welfare state is crumbling and may disappear because it can no longer be afforded. Our pensions are also not secure.
