Noah's Ark 1 troy ounce silver coin

In 2011, Armenia introduced its own series of silver bullion coins: the Noah’s Ark collection. These Armenian investment coins are globally admired for their 99.9% purity and deep symbolic meaning, referencing one of the most famous biblical stories. The 1 troy ounce Silver Noah’s Ark coin is not only a valuable precious metal investment but also a piece with strong cultural and spiritual significance.

The coins are issued by the Central Bank of Armenia and minted by the renowned German refinery Geiger Edelmetalle GmbH. This collaboration combines ancient symbolism with cutting-edge production technology and precision craftsmanship. Today, the Noah’s Ark is among Europe’s most popular silver bullion coins, known for its beautiful design and global liquidity.

Design

The design of the Noah’s Ark coin, created by Armenian artist Eduard Kurghinyan, depicts the story from Genesis 8:4, in which Noah’s Ark comes to rest on Mount Ararat after the great flood. The obverse shows the Armenian coat of arms, the year of issue, denomination, weight and purity, along with the inscription “Republic of Armenia.” The reverse features the ark surrounded by waves, the iconic Ararat Mountains in the background, and a dove carrying an olive branch in the foreground. The coin has a face value of 500 dram, though its intrinsic silver value is considerably higher.

Security Features

The Noah’s Ark bullion coin is struck with exceptional precision by Geiger Edelmetalle, making counterfeiting extremely difficult. Each coin displays a sharply defined relief with fine details in the waves, ark and dove. The consistent weight (31.103 grams) and fineness (99.9% silver), along with its reeded edge, further ensure authenticity. Every coin is subject to rigorous quality control by the Central Bank of Armenia, guaranteeing its purity and reliability.
