Ron Paul Warns: Wars Continue, Dollar Dies, Freedoms Vanish — A Sad Story

In this Reinvent Money interview recorded on US midterm election day (November 3, 2026), Paul Buitink speaks with libertarian icon and former Congressman Dr. Ron Paul.

Paul argues that neither Republicans nor Democrats deserve power, as both support corporate control, deficit financing, the Federal Reserve, endless wars, and policies that violate the Constitution. He highlights the national debt’s explosion from $11 trillion in 2009 to over $40 trillion, calling sustained inflation inevitable under Austrian economics.

Paul explains that new money is never distributed equally—private interests get it first—and stresses the need for sound money based on gold and silver. He warns that spending, debt monetization, and wars will continue, eroding the dollar’s value and personal freedoms. On the endgame, he anticipates a “breakdown surge” or panic rather than a clean deflationary spiral or pure hyperinflation, driven by years of near-zero interest rates. Paul concludes that dishonest money and dishonest leadership go hand in hand and can lead to national decline.
