Adjiedj Bakas and Yuri van Geest: systemic crisis, zombie jobs vs AI and more prosperity through nuclear fusion

In this special episode, Paul Buitink talks to trend watcher Adjiedj Bakas and systems thinker Yuri van Geest. Together they discuss their future expectations about politics in the Netherlands, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, geopolitical relations and AI. In the short term, both are not very positive, they expect the situation to get worse before it gets better.

The Adjiedj and Yuri also speak about the worrying state of Dutch education, which is evident from the international PISA survey. Both give a number of inspiring examples of how education has been organised in other countries.

The aftertaste of the conversation is mostly positive. In the long term, the gentlemen expect that technological progress and new cheaper energy will bring greater prosperity and peace to the whole world.
